GRACE EU Project
Grant agreement ID: 246203
Call identifier FP7-NMP-2009-SMALL-3
InteGration of pRocess and quAlity Control using multi-agEnt technology
2010-2013

The project has the main objective to conceive, study, develop, implement and validate a collaborative multi agent architecture, which operates at all stages of a home appliances production line, integrating process control with quality control.

The multi agents are data elaborating units that are able to responsive and adapt planned or random variations of the mechanical/electrical/electronic tools, assembling process and product characteristics.

The whole production process will be supervised and controlled through the integrated and co-coordinated operation of a network of collaborative individual agents

BEinCPPS EU Project
Call identifier H2020-FoF-2015
Business Experiments in Cyber Physical Production Systems
2015 - 2018

BEinCPPS project aims to integrate and experiment a FI-based machine-factory-cloud service platform firstly intensively in five selected S3 Vanguard regions, afterwards extensively in all European regions, by involving local competence centers and manufacturing SMEs.

The final aim of this Project is to dramatically improve the adoption of CPPSs all over Europe by means of the creation, nurturing and flourishing of CPS-driven regional innovation ecosystems, made of competence centers, manufacturing enterprises and IT SMEs

QU4LITY
Project No: 825030
Autonomous Quality Platform for Cognitive Zero-defect ManUfacturing 4.0 Processes through DigitaL ContInuity in the ConnecTed FactorY of the FuturE
Objective: DT-ICT-07 (Digital Manufacturing Platforms for Connected Smart Factories)
2019-2022

Qu4lity is the biggest European project dedicated to Autonomous Qu4lity (AQ) and Zero Defect Manufacturing (ZDM) in the Industry 4.0.

Qu4lity will demonstrate, in a realistic, measurable and replicable way an open, certifiable and highly standardised, SME-friendly and transformative shared data-driven ZDM product and service model for Factory 4.0 through 14 pilot lines.

Qu4lity will also demonstrate how European industry can build unique and highly tailored ZDM strategies and competitive advantages through an orchestrated open platform ecosystem, ZDM atomized components and digital enablers across all phases of product and process lifecycle. The main goal is to build an autonomous quality model to meet the Industry 4.0 ZDM challenges.

PERFoRM
Production harmonizEd Reconfiguration of Flexible Robots and Machinery
Horizon 2020 Call: H2020-FoF-2015
Topic: FoF-11-2015
Project No: 680435
2015 - 2018

The project aims to the conceptual transformation of existing Production Systems towards plug&produce production systems in order to achieve a flexible manufacturing environments based on rapid and seamless reconfiguration of machinery and robots as response to operational or business events.

These objectives require research activities to implement a solid Manufacturing middleware based on encapsulation of production resources and assets according existing paradigms (e.g. CPS, Service based architectures, Cloud services, etc.), the development of advanced and modular global monitoring and optimization algorithms for reconfiguration of machinery, robots and processes and, finally, to ensure the full interoperability, the harmonization and standardization of methods and
protocols to enable the plug-and-produce readiness in heterogeneous environments.

On the other hand, real industrial and business impacts, can be achieved by careful consideration of migration of legacy environments to the new approach and, where standard devices and/or applications remain, the coexistence and integration of existing systems. Implementing a robust and consistent KPI based operational and performance measuring approach, to really drive the behavior of the system according to the business and operational objectives, will ensure the achievement of
measurable results.

To such purpose PERFoRM project will deploy in four industrial testbeds belonging to different industrial domains to ensure a broad and sound validation of the concept and the platform. A successful deployment will be achieved not only by focusing on migration planning and deployment, but will also encompass the deployment in at least two designated industry driven experimental testbeds to optimize the deployment strategy and so minimize risks.
